CIA's Ultra 87 is an upgraded design based on Remington's venerable 870. The Ultra 87, however, features some improvements that the 870 lacks. Perhaps foremost among these is a chrome lined bore for better corrosion resistance and easier cleaning. The Ultra also offers an improved safety over the 870. Otherwise, it's a solid reproduction of a proven design. And the best part is, it's at a lower price.

The Ultra 87 provides a fiber optic front sight and an adjustable rear sight. In addition, the receiver is drilled and tapped for a standard Weaver type scope rail. The rail is included with the gun. Century is planning a number of accessories and upgrades that can be added to the 87. These include such things as folding buttstocks, pistol grips and heat shields.
