Description

The RAT-3 is a high quality, 3.5 inch fully concealable sheath knife. It was designed for law enforcement, military, and outdoorsmen who require compact cutting power.

RAT knives have a full flat grind and 57-58 Rc hardness for excellent slicing and cutting efficiency. The RAT series are available in either 1095 or D2 steels. The difference is:

D2 tool steel has longer edge holding and stain resistance
1095 high carbon steel provides an almost unbreakable blade with a razor sharp edge and ease of sharpening

The handles feature Micarta ergonomic handle slabs for increased grip when wet. The handle slabs are attached to a full tang and secured with stainless steel screws. Each knife also features an extended pommel with lanyard hole.

All RAT-3 Models comes with a molded Blade-Tech sheath. The sheath easily integrates with a Blade-Tech drop holster or can be adapted in the field to fit other rigs commonly used within the military and law enforcement communities. The sheath comes standard with two types of retention devices: a TekLok and a Boot Clip and can be carried in left or right-hand mode. The sheath can also be stripped of retention devices and carried as a neck knife.
